Living here
- Is the room actually furnished, or partly?
- Actually furnished. Bed and mattress, desk, chair, wardrobe or closet, nightstand and a light. The kitchen comes with cookware, crockery and utensils. Bring bedding, towels and whatever makes it yours.
- Who will I be sharing with?
- In a shared suite, between two and four other residents, each with their own room and their own agreement for that room. We tell you how many before you commit, and we do not put more people in a suite than it is set up for.
- Are guests allowed?
- Yes, overnight guests included, within reason and with the other residents in the suite considered. What is not allowed is a guest who is quietly moving in.
- How do I get around?
- Mostly on foot and by subway. Bloor-Yonge station, where Line 1 and Line 2 cross, is a three-minute walk. The east edge of the University of Toronto's St George campus is about ten minutes on foot, and Toronto Metropolitan University is three stops south on Line 1 or a twenty-minute walk.
- Is there parking?
- Ask us before you count on it. Most residents here do not keep a car: two subway lines are three minutes away and one commuter in three in this neighbourhood walks to work.
- What happens if something breaks?
- Report it and we fix it. Anything affecting heat, water, power or the ability to lock your door is treated as urgent and attended to the same day.
