York University Heights
The neighbourhood you are actually moving to
Three subway stations, a new light rail line and a campus of 55,000 people. It is young, it is mixed, and it is nowhere near downtown — which is the trade.
York University, Keele Campus
Canada's third-largest university, and the reason this neighbourhood exists in the shape it does. Seneca Polytechnic's York campus shares the same grounds.
York Lanes
The campus shopping arcade: a small grocer, a pharmacy, a bank, a barber and about a dozen places to eat. It is the closest thing the area has to a high street.
York University station
Opened with the Spadina line extension in 2017 and put the campus 40 minutes from downtown. The vaulted concourse is worth a look on your way through.
Line 6 Finch West
The newest transit in the city, running along Finch Avenue West since December 2025 and opening up the whole northwest corner without a transfer downtown.
